Movies was adapted from novel written by Kathryn Stockett (2009). The stories are generally about racism in Missisippi. How they treat coloured people back in America. The main cast was a strong white lady named Eugenia "Skeeter" Phelan and two Black Maid, Aibeleen Clarke and Minny Jackson. The time setting was in American Civil Right Era (around 1960's). Skeeter was a writer who wants to know and write the story from the point of view of the maids about the racism they faced everyday as they worked for the white families.
The set is in Jackson, Missisippi. Story tells about Aibileen who has recently lost her son who work as a maid and spent her life raising a white children. She also had a bestfriend, Minny Jackson who was very outspoken and get fired few times before which bring a difficulties to her employees. But, Minny has a really good cooking skills. I learnt that Crisco will make your life wonderful. :P Thank you for the tips.
Skeeter, who was an educated woman, just move back to her family after graduating from University of Missisippi. Unlike her friends who entered the university to find a husband, Skeeter was the only one who still single. Back in her home, she's looking for Constantine, her beloved childhood maid who gone while she's in the university. Then Skeeter asked Aibileen few domestic question to be written in her book. Skeeter's friend feel uncomfortable to see her mingle around and being nice with black people who they refer as "the help" especially Hilly Holbrook. Hilly was the one who proposing a bill to provide for separates toilets for the maids because she believes a coloured people can bring a disease to white people. During the era of discrimination based on colour, Skeeter believes otherwise.
the Maids was refuse to help Skeeter in her writing. Afraid of losing their job or even worse, Aibileen who first to share her stories right after she overheard Hilly's initiative about toilet's separation for white and black people and realize all the babies she raise will end up just like their parents. Minny, whom just get fired by Hilly as a punishment just because she used her toilet during the thunderstorm which she cant go out to use the outdoor toilet. Hilly poisoned all other families againts Minny, which is impossible for her to find a job as a maid, forcing her daughter Sugar to dropout school and work as a maid.
Minny refused to share her stories at first, but then she changed her mind. Minny get her job with the help from Aibileen, who then work with Celia Foote. Celia married to a rich socialite, Johnny. Celia was outcast with other society ladies (influenced by Hilly) because she came from a working-class family and also married to Hilly's ex-boyfriend. Unlike Hilly, Celia treats Minny with respect.

After writing a stories from Minny and Aibileen, Skeeter sent the stories to Miss Stein, the editor for Harper & Row. Miss Stein thinks there must be some interesting in their stories requires more stories from Skeeters for at least a dozen maids before it turns into a book. Miss Steins also asked Skeeter to send the stories as soon as possible before the Civil Right Era comes to an end. At times, no one come up to share their stories until a black person assasinated in Jackson and Hilly's maid (Yule May Davis) has brutally get arrested for attempting to pawn a ring belonged to Hilly in order to afford her twin's college tuition after Hilly refused to give her a loan.
Everyone get stressed. And after the racial tension running high and all the maids become realize that her book will be a chance for their voices to be heard. Suddenly Skeeter got a numerous stories to include in the book. To ensure no one will reveal the books are written about Jackson, Minny tells her last story with Skeeter and Aibileen which she calls "Terrible Awful". The story are about Minny's revenge for being fired by Hilly. She baked a Chocolate Pies and delivers it to Hilly's house saying that she's sorry. After Hilly finished her second slices of pie, Minny tells Hilly that she baked her shit along with the Pie (euwww... ). With that stories, Hilly will convince the town that the book are not about Jackson.

Before finishing her book, Skeeter finally wants to add her own story about her childhood maid, Constantine who her mom (Charlotte) banished from their house to save her face during reception. but then Charlotte asked Skeeter's brother to find Constantine and bring her home from Chicago. but when Skeeter's brother get there, Constantine died...

The book which titled "The Help" are succesfully published. Hilly was threatening Skeeter, Aibileen and everyone who she thinks had wrote the book. but she also convince everyone that the book is not about Jackson. Finally Aibee got fired after Hilly accused her for stealing silver but Aibee took one last chance and stood up for herself... saying that Hilly are Godless woman. then she leave and never come back.... Mae Mobly was a last girl she took care of.
This is the best movie ive watched so far. Im grateful for what i have....
