I'm Terrible and a Butter Cake

Hi dolls! Assalamualaikum...

wuhaa, it's been a while my blog filled with silence and sawang-sawang. well, been busy all these while. busy with Butter Shortbread orders, cakes and just family matters, spent a week in KL and just busy being mom.. ahaa... 

i just realize that i rarely took picture of what i had baked for Mr. Boyfie and Baby Ariana. why? dunno.. ahaha. just me being lazy. sorry folks... and i managed to took a photo of Leopard Butter Cake which is a buttercake that i modified with some imagination. KONON! ahaks

I came across my good friend's blog just now, dah lama sgt tak visit blog beliau. skrg aku jrg dah BW kat blog kekawan. ada BW pn just to search for the recipes and you know, i just went on reading some other stuffs, most of it regarding to parenting. as a mom, i've been worried about my daughter's development... their milestones, their activities, diet, and many more...

back to my friend's story, i just knew that she's pregnant! i feel so bad about it...i never wanted to asked whether she's expecting or not. i just waited for the news frm her and waited for her to tell me without asked. ahaha.

OOOOOKAYYYY!

The Recipes.. hehe, pasti korang tak caya, dari 5 ingredients dpt hasilkan cake yg sedap. Well aerated, fluffy and soft.

BUTTER CAKE

Ingredients:
 
5 eggs - i used medium size egg
180 caster sugar - reduced to 150gms
200g self raising flour - sifted - i used unbleached low gluten organic flour + 3/4 tbsp organic alum free Baking Powder, sift together.
250g butter - soften - i used SCS butter. yummy
1/2 teaspoon orange oil - i changed to Vanilla Essence, can also change to Lemon Oil.
chocolate rice - i discard this. just plain
1/2 tbsp cocoa powder - i added
 
Method :
*preheat your oven 180 degree celcius, lined your baking tray with baking paper and grease with butter or  shortening. i used spring form. just clipped the baking paper between your spring form baking tin and lightly greased with butter. just like the way i used to make chilled cheesecake.

1. Beat Butter and Sugar until soft , white and fluffy
2. Add eggs one at time, after all eggs in, beat with high speed.
3. Turn your mixer to lower speed and add the flour slowly until finished. then add the Vanilla, beat again with high speed.
4. Pour the bater into baking tin, and bake for 40-50 minutes, 170 degree celcius.

Lemon Marble Cake

Yesterday my friend, Nurul (her husband were my hubby's golf bestfriend :P) ordered a butter shortbread dan Carrot Cakes from me... tapi kali ini saya gunakan resepi Butter Shortbread daripada Chef yang paling saya kagumi, Chef Gordon Ramsay. Resepi akan saya post kemudian. ;) sabar ye? Apapun tak menyempat balik ke rumah, anak-anaknya mengunyah tak henti... Kebetulan semalam dia bertanya tahu tak buat kek marble orang dulu-dulu yang pakai parutan kulit limau tu? saya kata tak pernah pulak buat kak. Jadi hari ini saya jenguk peti ais bahan-bahannya semua ada dan saya pun bersiar-siar ke blog Kak Rima, dan terjumpa resepi mudah ini. ;)

Really Perfect Butter Shortbread

Hi everyone, we see each other again... Jadi last week aku buat Butter Shortbread kegemaran Ariana. Rasanya last aku buat masa tu Ariana 7 bulan kot *facepalm*. Sekarang Ariana dah 22 bulan . haha. terrible Mom i am (-_-)"

Tak susah pun hendak membuatnya, cuma perlu pantas dan sabar. hehe. Reccomended butter ialah SCS. sumpah sedap. tp kalau nak Butter jenama lain so go on. Jangan gelabah bila tak ada SCS d pasaraya. Tp tetap, SCS pilihan aku

Okay, aku dah cuba cari resepi aku guna dulu but it's missing somewhere. gosh. Till i saw this recipe from Rima's Blog (Bisousatoi.com). Aku tak tunggu lama dan terus pegi beli Butter SCS dan buat.But i was quite rushing at the moment that my shrtbread turns out didnt have a clean cut. (T_T). 

Kalau ikut resepi Rima, dia gunakan food processor. Sedihnya, sebab aku tak ada food processor so aku gunakan hand mixer saja


RESEPI

REALLY PERFECT BUTTER SHORTBREAD

Bahan- Bahan :

3/4 cwn / appx 170gms Butter SCS
1 1/2 cwn tepung gandum - Saya gunakan Red Rose - kalo tak tepung gandum biasa pun okey der
1/3 cwn gula aising - saya blend gula kastor jadi halus dan tambah tepung jagung sikit untuk effect melt in the mouth gitew
1/4 suduteh garam - aku pakai Fleur de Sel (hand harvested sea salt)
1/2 suduteh vanilla essence 

Cara membuatnya :

1. Campur kesemua bahan kering dan ayak. gaul supaya bercampur. 
2. Dedahkan butter pada suhu bilik hingga agak lembut
3. Pukul butter bersama gula hingga sebati. Jgn smp kembang. cukup sekadar buter dan gula sebati. Masukkan tepung dan turunkan kelajuan mixer kepada paling rendah.
4. Bulatkan doh tadi dan masukkan ke dalam peti ais
5. Panas kan oven anda terlebih dahulu. 160'C selama 10minit.
6. setelah 10- 15 minit. dengan cepat, Roll doh tadi setebal yang anda inginkan. Potong mengikut saiz yang dikehendaki menggunakan pisau atau acuan kegemaran. saya gunakan pisau saja kerana hendak saiz gigitan (bite size).Potong dan terus susun di atas loyang pembakar yang di alas dengan baking paper.
7. Cucuk2 dengan hujung garpu untuk mendapatkan corak shortbread. 
8. Bakar 160'C selama 20minit atau sehingga agak kekuningan.


Nota:

- Ambil separuh doh dari peti ais untuk di gelek dan dipotong. Proses roll dan potong perlu dilakukan dengan cepat kerana doh akan mula mencair dan lembik seperti sifat azali butter la kan.
